Introduction

Flexera SaaS Manager integrates with a large group of SaaS applications, providing unparalleled business intelligence about when and how your users are interacting with the SaaS products licensed within your organization. Flexera SaaS Manager helps you discover, manage, optimize, and secure your SaaS subscriptions. It also identifies any unused, underused, or abandoned licenses, to help you rein in runaway spend.

New Flexera SaaS Manager User Interface (UI) 

The Flexera SaaS Manager User Interface (UI) was refreshed to share a common UI theme with Flexera’s cost optimization product, Optima. The UI updates affect the typography, header, navigation, data tables and modal appearance, command buttons, color palette, and tool tips.

To match the look of the Flexera SaaS Manager UI, we’ve also given our help library a refresh. Check out our refreshed Flexera SaaS Manager Help Library.

Navigation and Screen Name Changes 

With the new Flexera SaaS Manager UI, several navigation and screen names were changed. These name changes have also been applied to the Flexera SaaS Manager Help Library.

Navigation changes:

Catalog is now Managed.
Organizational Structure is now Organization.

Screen name changes:

Application Catalog is now Managed Applications.
Inactive Users is now Underutilized Accounts.

Custom Activity Threshold 

Custom Activity Threshold offers you the flexibility in defining the number of days before a user is considered inactive to align with your organization’s expectation of application usage. The default activity threshold is 60 days. You can now customize your activity threshold to 15, 30, 60, 90, or 120 days.

Important • You must have the Flexera SaaS Manager role of Administrator and/or Application Administrator to customize your activity threshold.

There are two areas within Flexera SaaS Manager where you can define this custom activity threshold:

The Add Application workflow found in your Managed Applications 
Application editing in the App Details tab

Unsanctioned Purchases Screen Changes 

The tiles at the top of the screen have been reordered and renamed with the following.

All-Time Spend tracks (in your default currency) all the unsanctioned purchases to date since your organization integrated with your Expense Management Provider (ERP).
All-Time Purchases tracks the number of unsanctioned purchases to date since your organization integrated with your Expense Management Provider (ERP).
Last Discovery displays the last time (in terms of days, hours, or minutes) the expense task ran for your organization’s Expense Management Provider (ERP).

The following changes were made to the Unsanctioned Purchases table:

Removed the Show Managed slide out button. This button was replaced with the Application Status column that can filter Unmanaged versus Managed applications.
Renamed the Show Hidden slide out button as Show Excluded.

Users should not use two-factor authentication.
API endpoints now include the appropriate integration task names.

Released the Lucidchart Integration and Lucidchart Integration Instructions, which include API endpoints for Application Roster and Application Access (Last Login).

The Flexera SaaS Manager Common API Application Activity Tracking has also been updated to include Lucidchart.

Released the Slack Integration and Slack Integration Instructions, which include API endpoints for Application Roster and Application Access (Last Login).

The Flexera SaaS Manager Common API Application Activity Tracking has also been updated to include Slack.

Updated ServiceNow Integration and Integration Instructions 

The ServiceNow integration and ServiceNow Integration Instructions were updated to replace the tracked User Data field of “User ID” with “Username”.

Updated Trello Integration and Integration Instructions 

The Trello integration and Trello Integration Instructions were updated for obtaining the Enterprise Token and including the API endpoints for pulling an Application Roster and Application Access events. The Trello integration also now stores user email addresses.

The Flexera SaaS Manager Common API Application Activity Tracking has also been updated to reflect the Trello integration now storing user email addresses.
