Deleting a Beacon

FlexNet Manager Suite 2019 R1 (On-Premises Edition)
You can delete the record of an existing inventory beacon from FlexNet Manager Suite.
Important: This removes the registration of the inventory beacon from your compliance database, but it does not uninstall the FlexNet Beacon software from the inventory beacon, nor disable that software at the inventory beacon itself. The inventory beacon to which the deleted record referred still keeps making unsuccessful attempts to connect to FlexNet Manager Suite. You can prevent that behavior by clearing the Enable parent connection check box on the inventory beacon (see Parent Connection Page).

To delete an inventory beacon record:

  1. Navigate to Discovery & Inventory > Beacons.
    FlexNet Manager Suite displays the Beacons page.
  2. In the Actions column against the inventory beacon record, click the delete icon to delete the inventory beacon record.
    FlexNet Manager Suite displays a warning message to confirm the deletion.
  3. Click OK to delete the inventory beacon.
