Assigning a Host to a Cluster

You can assign virtual hosts to a cluster. To assign a virtual host to a cluster:

  1. Search for the Virtual Devices and Clusters page.
    IT Asset Management displays the Virtual Devices and Clusters page.
  2. Select the cluster record and click Open. You may have to click the + icon to expand the parent cluster record.
    IT Asset Management displays the Cluster Properties page.
  3. Click the Hosts tab and click Search.
    IT Asset Management displays a list of virtual hosts.
  4. Select the desired virtual host record and click Add hosts.
    IT Asset Management assigns the selected host to the cluster.
    Note: When you assign a virtual host to a cluster, all virtual machines hosted by the host are also assigned to the cluster.
