License Assignment Recommendations Details

IT Asset Management (Cloud)

The License Assignment Recommendations tab contains the following information (you can modify which columns are displayed using Advanced > Choose Fields).

Column Name Description
Matched A green check mark indicates that the conditions of the rule have been met.
User Name The User ID of the user on the system on which the rule was run.
First Name The first name of the user on the system on which the rule was run.
Last Name The last name of the user on the system on which the rule was run.
Consolidated License Type (Contractual) The consolidated license type that is recommended for the user if a license ratio is active. This value also includes spare licenses of a higher priority.
License Type (Current) The license type that is currently assigned to the user on the system.
Duplicate Group # (Current) The number of the duplicate group that bundles potential duplicate users who can be consolidated into one unique user. This column shows the current position.
Consolidated License Type (Optimal) The consolidated license type that is recommended for the user if no license ratio is active and no spare licenses of a higher priority are taken into account.
Duplicate Group # (Recommended) The number of the duplicate group that bundles potential duplicate users who can be consolidated into one unique user. This column shows the position that would be achieved if all recommendations were accepted.
License Type (Optimal) The license type that is recommended for the user if no license ratio is active and no spare licenses of a higher priority are taken into account.

If no matching rule is found for the user, the license type is unavailable.

Change Required Yes indicates that a change of license type is recommended; No indicates that there is no recommendation to change the license type.
License Type Recommendation Reason The reason that a license type is recommended. Reasons might include, for example, license ratio enforcement, or the availability of spare, higher-priority licenses to avoid the need to purchase additional lower-priority licenses.
Rule Name The name of the rule that was applied.
Rule Reason Explanatory text for the rule that was applied.
Valid From The start date of the user's validity period.
Valid To The end date of the user's validity period.
User Type The user type of the user. Possible values are:
  • A: Dialog
  • B: System
  • C: Communication
  • D: BDC
  • L: Reference
  • S: Service
User Group The group that the user belongs to.
Last Logon Date The date when the user last logged on to the SAP system.
Developer Indicates whether the user currently has a developer license.
Note: This field is currently not supported for S/4HANA systems.
Created On The user's creation date.
Client ID The client ID of the system on which the rule was run.
Consolidated License Type (Current) The consolidated license type that is currently assigned to the user.
License Type (Contractual) The license type that is recommended for the user if a license ratio is active. This value also takes spare licenses of a higher priority into account (if the relevant setting for over-consumption of spare licenses is active).

If no matching rule is found for the user, the license type is unavailable.

Recommendation Status Shows the processing status of this specific recommendation in the SAP Admin module:
  • Accepted—The recommendation has been accepted in the SAP Admin module.
  • Rejected—The recommendation has been rejected in the SAP Admin module.
  • Pending—This is the status of all recommendations in a recommendation set that has not yet been made available to the SAP Admin module.
Rule Order The position of the rule that was applied in the rule set.
Rule Set Name The name of the rule set that contains the rule on which the recommendation is based.
System ID The three-character ID of the system on which the rule was run.
