Issue: Functionality disabled

IT Asset Management (Cloud)

Problem

Creation of new computer records, whether manually in FlexNet Manager Suite or automatically from imported computer inventories, has been disabled.

Cause

Either or both of the following:

  • The number of active computers (excluding 'Remote Devices') recorded in your inventory has exceeded the number authorized by your subscription to the IT Asset Management cloud service.
    Note: From the time when the number of active computers exceeded 95% of the authorized number, a warning was displayed in the web interface.
  • Where servers are separately licensed, the number of active servers recorded in your inventory now exceeds the number authorized by your FlexNet Manager Suite license.
To review the list of currently active computers, go to the IT Assets License page. Click the hyperlinked number against Number of active devices.

Fix

Either:
  • Contact your Flexera representative to purchase a license extension
  • Reduce the number of active computers in your FlexNet Manager Suite records
  • Where servers are separately licensed, reduce the number of active servers in your FlexNet Manager Suite records.
