Use the ClickOnce Converter Wizard to convert a ClickOnce package to a Basic MSI project with an associated .dim file.

NOTE

In order to convert a ClickOnce package, you must have the .NET Framework redistributable and the Visual J# .NET redistributable installed on your machine. Note that the version numbers of these two redistributables must match.

TASK

To launch the ClickOnce Converter Wizard, do one of the following:

On the Tools menu, click Convert a ClickOnce Package.

Double-click the ClickOnce2Dim.exe file, which is in the following location by default:

C:\Program Files\Macrovision\IS12\System\ClickOnce2Dim.exe

At the command line, enter the full path of the ClickOnce2Dim.exe file in quotation marks. For example, if you installed InstallShield to the default location, enter the following at the command line:

"C:\Program Files\Macrovision\IS12\System\ClickOnce2Dim.exe"

TIP

As an alternative, you can convert the ClickOnce manifest file without using the wizard by running the ClickOnce2Dim.exe application from the command line and specifying the appropriate command-line parameters. For more information, see ClickOnce2Dim.exe.
